If any provision of these terms is unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these terms, and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining terms
Your Password and Customer Personal Identification Number (PIN)
We are not able to control activities on your account due to circumstances beyond our control. This includes situations where you:
In the event that you believe that an unauthorised person has accessed your account or the confidentiality of your password and PIN has been compromised, please inform us as soon as possible on 0861 101172. We will respond to all queries within 24 hours.
On reporting the confidentiality breach, we will block your Internet account and re-issue your PIN at no cost. In order to get your Pin you will be required to visit the nearest Woolworths store to identify yourself. The Pin will be automatically generated and mailed to your address thereafter
- Divulge your password/PIN to someone else;
- Forget to log off when you end your session or if your leave your computer unattended;
- Fail to let us know about any potential breach of security or problem;
- Key in information incorrectly.
Your duties as a customer and online service user
- Protect your password/PIN by keeping it secret and confidential at all times.
- The customer must take all reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorised use of the service and unauthorised access to the account.
Unauthorised use of the PIN
If any unauthorised person obtains the PIN in any manner whatsoever, such a person will be regarded by Woolworths Financial Services; as the customer's sole authorised agent with full authority to use the service on the customer's behalf. The exception being, if the customer is able to prove that the person has obtained the pin due to negligence or internal fraud within Woolworths Financial Services.
Processing of Instructions
The user acknowledges that Woolworths Financial Services will act on any instruction purporting to emanate from the user/customer whether in written, electronic, or any other format. Woolworths Financial Services will not be required to enquire as to the origin of any instruction utilising the customer's PIN or password. Woolworths Financial Services shall not be held liable as a result of the unauthorised use of the PIN or password, which shall be kept secret and secure by the customer.
