Woolworths is one of
the largest retailers in South Africa operating a chain of
more than 120 stores, a large number of which are located in
prime retail locations, and which sell a select range of
textiles and foods exclusively under the Woolworths brand
name. Woolworths' aim is to provide customers with high
quality products at reasonable prices in an open and inviting
store environment. The Company also has arrangements with
third parties that operate more than 34 franchise stores in
South Africa, sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East selling
exclusively Woolworths brand products. Woolworths shares are listed on the JSE. The
